Under 18 Men’s Assistant Coach
Growing up in Belgrade (Serbia) Dejan started playing basketball in primary school. At the age of 12 Dejan joined the youth academy of KK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade Basketball Club) where he was coached by Mihailo Uvalin. After 3 years with his home-town club Dejan moved to England and joined Crystal Palace, coached by Roy Packham, where he played in the National League.
Having spent 5 years with Crystal Palace, Dejan left the club to pursue his studies at Brunel University. In 2004/05 season Dejan was the assistant coach for TH London Eagles in the National League and since 2009 he has been coaching at Lewisham Thunder.
Being part of Lewisham Thunder coaching staff is an opportunity to work with young players of all ages. Since coming here I have seen the club grow and players develop and it feels great to be part of a basketball programme that offers so much to players, coaches, club members and the local community.
